

The music is good and it allows you to pick your track and different versions when starting a level. If you have a pair of items that combine then maxing out the level of one or both weapons can give you a much more powerful version of that attack.

As you level up you can upgrade the rank of your weapons and passive items and acquire new ones that appear out of a list of 3-4 options.

Weapons are automatically fired depending on the attributes of the weapons, a few of them have some minor skill aspects to them like attacking in the direction you are are facing, attacking the closest enemy to you before being launched in the opposite direction, spear thrusts launching at enemies based on the direction they were set up by your movement, etc but most of it is just a constant effect you have little control over. While some of the track names are explicit, others such as "VISUAL SCENE" and "ENDING DEMO" do not seem to correspond to anything from the final game. What's interesting is that it's almost the same length as the used introduction theme. It's known for its huge (eight!) roster of playable characters, with five returning from the previous game (including Girulian, its final boss), a huge range of background details appearing through the levels, and weird enemy design, among other things.
